The Failed Individual

Vom 12. bis 14. November veranstaltet das Research and Study Center "Dynamics of Change" die internationale Konferenz "The Failed Individual" an der Universität Mannheim.

"During this conference we will explore the cultural dynamics of failure, its aesthetics and permutations, as well as the discourses and rhetoric surrounding this phenomenon."

Der Konferenz geht ein Graduate Workshop voraus und drei zentrale Keynote Speaker eröffnen täglich das Tagungsprogramm. Darunter:

Rosemarie Garland Thomson (Emory University) über "Dignity and Disability"
Christopher Taylor (University of Chicago) über "Theory in the Age of the Less-Lethal"
Geert Lovink (Hogeschool van Amsterdam) über “Post-Snowden Internet Culture: From Selfies to the Politics of  Mask Design".
